826 National is a nonprofit tutoring, writing, and publishing organization with locations in seven cities across the country. 826 Valencia, the flagship organization founded by Dave Eggers in San Francisco, also serves as the headquarters of 826 National, the umbrella organization that coordinates the other 826 chapters. Through volunteer support, each of the 826 locations provides drop-in tutoring, class field trips, writing workshops, and in-school programs - all free of charge - to inspire a new generation of young writers.
